Beautiful Sheer Shades

I believe in a well dressed window. Beautiful window treatments can change the look and feel of an entire room.  Want to go light and contemporary?  Try a sheer shade.  Sheers keep light coming in and add a bit more privacy than nothing on those windows. Using natural fabrics like cotton and linen softens folds and create a slight drape. There are tricks to choosing the right sheer, color and pattern.  Let me know if you get stuck making window treatment decisions.

These are my favorite window treatments in the world! The Treanna shade by Skandia. It's a blind between two sheers.  They're clean, elegant and stylish. When open the shade reveals a filtered view of the outside but if privacy is needed a heavier fabric can be chosen. I especially like the sheerest of the sheer..... let the light in ! Wherever you install this shade the room is instantly dressed up. There are 9 fabric colors to choose so put this beautiful window treatment in a room that faces the street. Treanna works well in a contemporary or traditional setting. If your windows are especially tall add the motorized feature. This is the most elegant way to go where blinds are required...like in an HOA.  Send me your window measurements... I'll send you a quote!

Sheer Privacy

If you're an apartment or condo dweller and want to personalize your space I have an idea for you.  Most apartments come equipped with those vinyl mini blinds. They're always in some shade of white and their primary use is privacy.  I like what my friend Mary, of The Drapery Shop in Manassas, VA did for a DC client to solve their mini problem. She fabricated a beaded sheer for the client's dining room window that overlooks a busy NW street. It softens the blinds...almost hides it and adds a great accent to the room... loving it.
