Small Space Bath Design

Lately I've been asked about design for a small space. With my close proximity to DC condo dwelling is on the upswing. When I moved to the city in the early 90's it was all about the townhouse. I lived in several on Capitol Hill... my favorite part of the city. But with the building boom over the last six years or so the condo is all the rage. Mid and high rise condos have popped up everywhere... replacing entire city blocks. What these condo dwellers want to maximize most is... space. I love to flaunt my space saving ideas... especially for the bathroom. Here are a few ideas for adding drama and saving space in a small bath.

A monochromatic tone opens up this small space. Plants help purify the air as well as add a pop of color.

Organization is key in this small space.

The colorful hand made  Mexican tiles make this small space pop! The color and scale of the tiles on the wall and tub surround add architectural elements where they are lacking..
